We will be finishing up Emma this week (July 26th). Let’s meet at the House of Commons.
Umm…does anyone remember what we were going to read next??

I just looked at my shelf — what’s left, I think, is “The Historian”, and is “The Shadow of the Wind” a BBC book? If so, that’s the list!
Yay for House of Commons!
Were we going to skip the Historian…or did we want to read it?
I guess we need to hunker down and pick our Dickens books.
oh! I didn’t know we’d talked about skipping the Historian! I’m ok either way. Happy to start on Dickens or whatever.
Mostly I just want some scones
I just had one comment on book selections for Dickens. It seems like a few people want to read Tale of Two Cities…which I think is great.
However, I’ve read this book 3 times so I think I’ve met my life quota & wasn’t planning on re-reading it. Would anyone be opposed to doing that one first? I probably won’t read the first book anyway with all this wedding craziness overtaking me right now.
If anybody doesn’t want to read that one first it’s totally fine. i just thought I’d put my thoughts out there:)
Fine by me, and good call on skipping a life quota book by getting married
Inspector — did you have fun spending that Borders card on Saturday?
First of all, I enjoyed seeing you all on Saturday- I’ve missed y’all.
I have no problem reading ToTC first.
Shanda- I hope you can at least make it to a couple of the meetings- having read it 3 times, I’m sure you have a different perspective than someone reading it for the first time. Plus, I just enjoy your company.
Antof9: Oh, yes I did! I got a craft book, a knitting book, a couple magazines, and Twilight. I still have some cash left. Yay!
*crickets*
where is everybody?
I was wondering the same thing… are we on hiatus?
