To prepare you for the next 4 weeks … June 4, 2007

Another guest blog entry by Ant …

So we finished Son of a Witch this week — if you didn’t read it because you didn’t like Wicked, you should know that it’s much better, and actually had an editor.  That’s all I’m saying.

Since the next two books will go by fast, we wanted to make sure everyone was fully informed and ready to participate in BBC.  Hang on and pay attention!

  • Saturday, June 9:  we’re off
  • Saturday, June 16:  Grendel
  • Saturday, June 23:  off
  • Saturday, June 30:  Blink

Get your copy of the book and start reading.  Locations for BBC will be announced before we meet each week.

We are not having an offcially movie night this week…but if you would like to arrange one yourself feel free!!

Also start thinking about books you would like to read. We will be voting soon.

i’ll miss son of witch, i enjoyed the conversations we had at scooter joe’s, but didn’t get much chance to spend time on reading this month. it seemed like even though this book was better, it didn’t inspire as much debate about some of the interesting issues in wicked. (like evil and its nature)

grendel looks good, but someone complained about the stream of consciousness style.

Prof — I think it didn’t inspire as much debate, etc. because hardly anyone came to BBC for this book, and most didn’t read it 🙂

FYI — I won’t be at BBC for the 16th. Grendel’s so small, I’ll probably read it anyway …
